The European Sleeper trains are a pet friendly overnight gateway between Belgium, Holland and Germany, and from 25 May 2023 a new route is available from London to Berlin. Since the Eurostar only allows Assistance Dogs, this is a purr-fect option for travelling between the UK and continental Europe with your furry friend. Cats and dogs are very welcome to travel in your private room, other types of pets are not permitted. The journey lasts sixteen hours, and, as the name suggests, the great thing about the European Sleeper trains is that it’s an overnight service, therefore you can snooze away the journey with your cat or dog, and arrive at your destination feeling refreshed!
