Baleària Caribbean

The Baleària Caribbean pet friendly travel policy 2023 enables pets to sail between Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Bimini or Grand Bahama, Bahamas. Baleària Caribbean only allows dogs on board, and they must be at least six months old. Qualified Assistance & Service Dogs are permitted to access the Baleària Caribbean passenger areas, while other dogs must remain in their travel carrier or on-deck kennel. Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) aren’t able to travel under the Baleària Caribbean Assistance Dog policy, but registered Psychiatric Service Dogs are permitted. The fast pet friendly ferry between Fort Lauderdale and Bimini takes just two hours, while a crossing to Grand Bahama is only three hours. You can check out reviews by other pet travellers to find out about their experiences with Baleària Caribbean before you book. Baleària Caribbean Policy for Assistance & Service Dogs

Professionally trained and registered Assistance & Service Dogs can freely access passenger facilities at no additional cost, under the Baleària Caribbean pet friendly ferry policy for 2023. They must remain at your side for the duration of the crossing, and have to wear a leash and harness, unless being restrained would interfere with their work. Psychiatric Service Dogs can travel, but Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) are subject to the standard Baleària Caribbean pet policy.

Size and weight restrictions don’t apply to Assistance & Service Dogs.

You must indicate that you will be travelling with an Assistance or Service Dog by contacting the Baleària Caribbean Access Desk at least 72 hours prior to departure.
